Tape Exchange August 2021

Bravest of Readers and Dearest Exchangers,

Holy September! As Dr. Dog would ask, where does the time go? Things were fairly quiet around the exchange this month in terms of mix tapes but we did receive some cool stuff!

Our raddest and baddest tape this month was a submission coming from Horse Apples. Typically, our exchanges only highlight mixtapes/compilations. We’ll be taking a closer look at this bad boy in a later post!

CTEP’s Contribution:

Some months things just click and we’ll have a tape together before the month’s end. For August, this was not the case. We spent more or less the entire time (maybe more) to find these tunes without forcing them just to complete a mix. I’d rather create a collection of truly cool tunes that someone will hopefully hear over getting a sub par mix out quickly. That being said, there are some questionable choices on this mix. (COUGH COUGH WET LEG COUGH COUGH) I could have omitted them but I felt compelled to document the songs I have heard during the month to assemble a more authentic representation of what the month was and felt like. So, have at it and experience August, man!
