Greetings Consumers of All Things Cassette-y!

Hopefully things have been good in your neck of the woods! We have taken our time and dragged our feet long enough! It’s been a hot month here at the CTEP! Before August is over, let’s briefly recap the month that was July! We went to the beach, we went kayaking, and we…. went to Target – how’s that for excitement?!

Unfortunately, brave exchangers, we didn’t receive any submissions during the month of July. It was bound to happen sooner or later and we considered not making an entry this time around. However, we picked up the pieces (after we cut the cake!) and we carried on! We actually put together a pretty solid little mix and we felt that it deserves to be heard! At the CTEP, the music never stops!

As we mentioned last month, our contribution has evolved into a snapshot of our musical landscape each month. This month features a pretty cool mix of tunes to help you beat the relentless summer heat (remember Mario 3?)! In fact, this month’s tape may be the most uniform offering that we have prepared. Now, don’t get us wrong, there are still moments of genre bending musical freedom, but like so many previous compilations, we did find ourselves smack dab in our comfort zone – the 70’s! Don’t let this deter you from checking out this incredible mix featuring some truly top tier talents!
