Our first episode of 2019 will air this Thursday (as they all do) January 3rd, on WVEW-LP Brattleboro! This will in fact be our 27th episode and we will honoring the lives and sounds of the ’27 Club’. The ’27 Club’ for those who are unfamiliar, is a pop-cultural reference to a surprisingly large list of actors, athletes, authors, poets, and musicians who had passed away at the young age of 27. Famous examples would include the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and Janis Joplin. We will be exploring the songs of both the famous and lesser known musicians that many may not be familiar with. Many of these prolific artists have created a wealth of material that continues to stand as a timeless offering to the human cannon.
